Former Minister Mzwinila and Family Face Immigration Monitoring
Botswana’s Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime (DCEC) has reportedly placed former Minister of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services, Kefentse Mzwinila, and his family under an immigration watch.
This action suggests increased scrutiny at the nation’s entry and exit points.
Border Control System Updated
Publicly available documents indicate that the Department of Immigration and Citizenship’s acting director, Andries Moeng, issued a ‘Be On the Lookout’ (B.O.L.O) order. This directive instructed border managers to flag Mzwinila and identified family members within the Passport and Border Control (PBC) System.
This measure typically alerts authorities to the movements of individuals of interest upon their passage through national borders.
