Why Presidential Judo Tourney Was Postponed

Presidential Judo Championship Delayed

The Presidential Open Judo Championships, a highly anticipated event, has been postponed. Originally slated to take place at the Botswana National Youth Council (BNYC) Hall in Gaborone this past weekend, the competition’s new date remains unconfirmed.

Reason for Postponement

Organizers from the Botswana Judo Federation (BJF) cited the unavailability of President Duma Boko as the primary reason for the delay. The championship was specifically designed to honor President Boko’s recent recognition by the International Judo Federation.

Anticipation for the Event

The event was expected to draw significant attention, celebrating both the sport of judo and President Boko’s recent commendation. Further details regarding the rescheduled dates are expected to be released by the BJF.
